STC fibre and Mobily the path matters more than the app

Most “this subscription is bad” tickets in Saudi Arabia are the last hop: a stick on 2.4 GHz, 5G Home in a tower, or a compound that isolates the TV. Do these steps before you blame the server — then follow the Firestick or Android HowTo.

Setup steps

  1. 1

Name the ISP: STC fibre, STC 5G Home, Mobily fibre or Zain. Put it on WhatsApp with the city (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam…).

  2. 2

Put the player on the 5 GHz SSID, or use Ethernet. Skip compound Guest Wi-Fi.

  3. 3

Install the player from your device guide: Firestick (Downloader + Smarters), Android (TiviMate), or the TV store. We do not paste those steps again here.

  4. 4

Paste the Xtream credentials from WhatsApp with no extra space. Wait for the EPG.

  5. 5

Test SSC 1 and a beIN channel before you walk away. If it buffers, switch to 5 GHz or Ethernet, then WhatsApp for a new path.

  6. 6

On Roshn night: reopen the app ten minutes before kick-off and keep 4K on the main match only.

STC fibre vs 5G Home

Fibre in Al Malqa, Hittin and Dammam’s Al Shati holds 4K if the device is not trapped. 5G Home in Olaya apartments is fine for HD; 4K tracks the radio.

Mobily in west Jeddah and some Khobar compounds works after we set the path. Zain in Abha and Jazan is the same idea — we do not use an Etisalat UAE profile.

Where to finish device setup

  • Firestick: full HowTo — mention STC on WhatsApp.
  • Android / Google TV: TiviMate from Play Store.
  • Samsung and LG: TV store, or an HDMI stick if the store is empty.

Most homes do not. Try Ethernet and a backup route first.
